FAQs

In no particular order:

Q: When are you due?
A:  I have no idea. Somewhere between now and December 28th. My EDD is 1/4/11 but that is based on a singleton and 40 weeks. My doc says 1 in 10 won't make it to the 39th week with multiples (which is 12/28).

Q: You're having twins?
A: Yes.

Q: Do you know the sex?
A: Yes, a boy and a girl.

Q: Do you have names?
A: Yes (but I am not publishing here)

Q: You don't look that big. (Okay, this is more of a comment I get a lot)
A: Thanks. Are you taking new patients? Clearly you must be a doctor with that medical observation. That comment couldn't be based on my height, weight, the baby's weights, growth, etc. Right? I've gained around 35 lbs now, which a healthy twin pregnancy weight gain is 30-50 lbs weight gain. Yeah, women get a bit touchy when you tell them they are too big or too small when pregnant.

Q: How long are you going to work until?
A: My last day of work before maternity leave is the day before Thanksgiving. Thank goodness!

Q: Do you have help? You're going to need it!
A: I will need some help, what's your number and email?

Q: Are you going back to work after the babies are born?
A: Unless I win the lottery sometime beforehand, that's the plan. I can't predict what will happen in the future. There's a lot to figure out in the next few months.

So far those are the most common questions/comments I get. Each day with my patience dwindling my answers get to be more and more sarcastic. I appreciate the attention and concern. I have no delusions this adventure is going to be easy, but I also know it will be fantastic.
