Saturday night, 'Lil D's first night in his new room...He slept the whole night!!! At 4 am I woke up in a sweat because I hadn't heard him all night (the monitor is on my nightstand). I went to his room and peeked in, he was sleeping like an angel. About 5 am he woke up, I fed him, and he went back to sleep until 8:30!!! I felt so refreshed, and I think he did too!
Last night, he woke up in the 2 am hour. I fed him around 2:30 and put him back to bed, I had to then wake him up at 6:15 to get him dressed and ready to go. I think the new sleeping arrangements are agreeing with everyone!
Also a bonus, I called Carter's today about the broken crib piece. They asked me no questions other than what happened and what pieces. They are shipping replacement parts at no cost!!! I am talking the whole side of the crib and a cross-bar. No small pieces by any means! I love it when companies back their products!
Oh, and if you're thinking about making your own peas for baby food, don't. It's a lot of work and by the time you have shucked, steamed, pureed and then strained, you are left with hardly anything. I think we'll buy those already packaged.
I forgot to mention that the eye doctor's office redeemed themselves! I went on Friday for another appointment with a different doctor. I am not sure if it was coincidental, or if I have a black mark in my chart, but before I could file my paperwork, I was called in (I hadn't even sat down yet!). The doctor was nice enough, did all the usual tests, made conversation, but not too much. I was done within 20 minutes. I went over to scope out new glasses, the staff was awesome! I had a consultant who listened to what I like and dislike, brought me suggestions, and ultimately helped me decided between two pairs when I was on the fence. The big bonus is my Flex Spending credit card covered all of this, plus a year's worth of contact lenses. I shopped online and found a price for lenses that beats 1-800-contacts, called them up, they matched the prices, and I get a bigger discount for ordering a year's supply (my script is good for 2 years). Another satisfied customer, both with my doctor and with 1-800-contacts!
